KUBORAUM are masks designed on the face s of those that wear them. Masks that highlight personality and emphasize character. the mask is synonymous with mockery, with game. The KUBORAUM masks provide accentuation, protection and shelter. KUBORAUM are like cubic rooms where we shelter ourselves, where we are free to live in our intimacy, where we live all our identities and look at the world through two lenses.
Livio Graziottin and Sergio Eusebi met for the first time in Berlin in 2009 during a vernissage in an art gallery of a mutual friend.
The brand was founded in Berlin in the rooms of a former post officie on the border between East and West Berlin. The space that was originally converted into a gallery, immediately became the incubator for the creation of new projects. Today this place includes the studio, showroom and the KUBORAUM flagship store.
In 2011 the first collection of five models were born, conceived in opposition to all the dominant aesthetics in the world of eyewear. KUBORAUM is an affirmation of independence from an industrial logic based on market research, trends, aesthetic massification and the annihilation of individual expression.
Each mask contains the genesis of the artisans who worked on them, a small segment of venetian craftmanship, hence:
